    Have you ever wanted to be loved and adored but didn't know how to make that happen? It's easy. Write porn. More specifically porn involving B/J, teh love, and the current theme at [info]bj_action - SNOWBOUND.

    Never wrote any fic before, no problem. Many fandom writers have tested their fic writing skills for the first time at [info]bj_action. Including yours truly.

    I just spent 45 minutes shoveling. At midnight or so my alarm will go off and I will shovel some more. Then I will get up at 5 am and do it again. Hopefully I will make it to work after that. When you take care of living things for work, there is no such thing as a snow day. Right now I am hating snow.

    Please remind me why Snow is beautiful and wonderful and good.

    To make a short story long...

    [info]vl_redreign wrote awesome Jenn in her awesome Gusmas drabbles (that you so need to check out over at [info]qaf_drabbles. [info]secretsolitaire said in the comments section that Jennifer is totally where Justin got his awesome. And I said that needs to be an icon and Red said that I needed to come here. So here I am!

    An icon that says, "Jennifer is totally where Justin got his awesome." Or "Jennifer-Where Justin gets his awesome." Or something else that you think sounds better for an icon.

    Red suggested these caps: 311 from the GLC. Or, the Pride parade 204, with them holding hands, because Red loves it when Jenn says, "I'm proud of you, Justin."

    I will go find those caps later tonight and post them in the comments.

    If anyone is interested it would be much appreciated!! :D

    Most of you know that I live in CA. Specifically, Davis, which is part of the Sacramento Valley.

    I just saw a weather report.

    It's snowing.

    IN FUCKING SACRAMENTO.

    Which is 11 miles from me.

    So, I checked our weather.

    It says: "Cloudy/rain/snow".

    Snow. Here.

    Sen Inhofe, how much more proof do you need? Global warming is REAL.

    I don't care if it melts or ends up slush. I want to see some snow. It's been years. Sigh.

    I need to be in bed because I'm leaving early in the morning but I wanted to say good-bye to my beloved flist. Plus, you guys have all been so great about Champ that I wanted to let you know the wonderful, magical news: HIS LIVER PROFILES ARE ALL WITHIN NORMAL RANGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is most excellent! We both thank you for all the well wishes and support. Hopefully when I get home, his stomach tube will come out!

    It is probably a pretty sad comment on my fic writing abilities when i don't even remember what my own fic is about.

    Favorite Fives

    More Favorite Fives - Five Favorite Vacations

    1. Flim's and my favorite vacations are the ones we spend in Reno - our self indulgent city. Free food, free booze, being waited on, beautiful hotel rooms with great views, no interruptions, no schedules, you get the idea. We've had so many good ones but I picked the one where Flim won enough to pay off our mortgage - eighteen months early. I can't tell you how good that felt.

    2. The first season DVD signings in San Francisco. I had never done anything like that before - not even remotely close. I had a free plane ticket and a free place to stay so I went and was so glad I did. I met Morpheus in line and realized that I wasn't alone in my obsession. I remember telling Gale and Michelle that I had come all the way from Kansas for this and the shocked look on their faces. My sister managed to get a picture of that exact moment.

    3. My first non-business trip to New York City to visit JustVisiting. I wanted to do ALL the touristy things and she played along completely, granting my every wish. Waiting in lines to see the Statue of Liberty, waiting in even longer lines to see the Empire State building, Grand Central Station, riding the subway, Rockefeller Center, seeing a play on Broadway, learning the secret to flagging down a cab. She didn't even mind that I took pictures of everything and kept saying "Wow!"

    4. My trip to Los Angeles to see "Particles of Truth" at the LA Film Festival. I met Morpheus and Katy there. We had quite a trip! We saw POT twice, took a tour of the NBC studios, saw the La Brea tar pits, got lost and got found, ate in a gay bar with a gorgeous waiter and I ended my career as a stalker. My highlight, of course, was after the second showing when Gale was walking up the aisle. I stuck out my hand and he shook it. Then the following conversation took place:
    ME: "What are you doing next?"
    Gale "I don't really know."
    ME: "But you'll tell us, right?"
    Gale: "Sure, I'll call you tomorrow!"
    I'm still waiting for the call - LOL!

    5. My all time favorite vacation was the one Flim and I took for three weeks to Reno, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. We spent some time with my daughter and I met Flim's son and his mother. Flim tried out for a game show and made it but didn't win any money. We did get a year's worth of some sort of crackers and some sort of gum. It was on that vacation that Flim proposed which made it the best for me!

    Icon theme - Blue
    Just under the wire....here are my totally uninspired icons for this months theme over at [info]qaf_icons. I seem to have lost my icon groove and it doesn't seem like it'll return any time soon. I had actually picked out close to 50 scenes I wanted to iconize and ended up with only 16 completed. Two months, 16 icons....yeah, not good.

    It's like I forgot how to multi-task. LOL

    I'm rushing around trying to get ready for my vacation (I leave on Sunday). Eventually, I'll be at this fabulous spa for a few days before heading to my sister's.

    I CANNOT WAIT.

    However, before I can go, I have so much to do. All the presents have to be wrapped and packed for them for xmas and my nephew's first birthday. I have to get the pet sitter in here so I can show her what she needs to do with Champ.

    I have to finish laundry, pack, finish decorating the house for the holidays (so it's all done when I get home) and somewhere in all that, I MUST get my hair done. Oh and did I mention that I have to work too?

    So, instead of focusing on all of this, I ordered myself a bday present, the BLACKBERRY CURVE 8330 and I got it in red...to match my car. ROFL. I'm just kidding, it was either that or orange and since I'm a diva, I went with red.

    WOOHOO my enhanced license came so I can easily cross the border into Canada and back, so it's official, I've got all I need for the trip.

    Hi everyone!

    I just realized I have almost no Jewish icons! which would have been just fine if I wasn't Jewish, but I am, and therefore must have more jewish icons!

    I was hoping maybe someone would be willing to make me some icons with Jewish references, like when Mel says "that's right, blame the Jew" or maybe some with Ted in the Gay-Jewish-bar night party or whatever it was in season 5... if you need more, I can give them to you on the comments.

    Coco Before Chanel: Thumbs down from me
    Cross-posted at [info]femme_asylum.

    Really really did not like "Coco Before Chanel." Audrey Tautou is gorgeous and I could have looked at her all day, but I found her character's motivations unfathomable, and I had no sense at all where Chanel's great talent and style came from, nor was there any sense of the force in design she would one day become.

    This was nothing but an overblown romance that somehow reduced everything she did to being about some guy. Nauseating. I HATED it.

    Beautiful, yes. But blech.

    I wish someone would make the Chanel film that is in my head. Because this is DEFINITELY not it.

    Ok. [info]nerilka24 and I just finished watching episodes 101 and 102 at [info]qaf_marathons.

    But it's not to late for you to join the squee.

    You can either:

    A)Watch it later and follow along with our comments while you do so and join in with them. The beauty of the internets. Conversations can take place over days.

    Or you can B) Come join me at [info]qaf_marathons in 30 minutes. At 10pm EST. For episode 512 and 513.

    101, 102, 512, and 513 Tonight!
    Just a reminder We (hopefully it'll be a we and not just an I) will be watching the beginning and the end tonight at [info]qaf_marathons.

    I will get started at 8pm EST, watch 101 and 102 straight through. Then probably take a few minutes intermission and then watch 512 and 513 straight through starting at about 10pm EST.

    And if you've never marathoned with me before just an fyi that I don't often get very deep with my comments, but you can feel free to. Or stay on the shallow end with me.

    Why am I doing this? Because I have an urge to watch them both in one sitting and look at where they all started out and where they ended up without a ton of focus tonight on the hows and whys they got there.
